Executive Leadership Training — about us

The story, mission and people behind Australia's most trusted executive development practice.

Our story

Founded in 2013 in the Australian Capital Territory, Executive Leadership Hub began with a simple but ambitious idea: that the quality of an organisation's leadership is the single most important determinant of its long-term success.

Our founder, Dr. Caroline Whitfield, had spent fifteen years as a leadership researcher and consultant at some of Australia's leading business schools. She observed a persistent gap between academic theory and the practical realities executives face every day — the high-stakes board conversations, the difficult restructuring decisions, the challenge of inspiring people through uncertainty. She founded Executive Leadership Hub to bridge that gap.

In the early years, we worked primarily with government agencies and mid-sized enterprises in Canberra and the surrounding region. Word spread quickly. Participants told their peers, organisations saw measurable improvements in engagement scores and strategic execution, and our client base expanded across Australia and into the Asia-Pacific. Today, we serve a diverse portfolio of clients spanning healthcare, financial services, technology, infrastructure and the public sector.

What has not changed is our founding commitment: every program must be grounded in evidence, tailored to context and delivered by practitioners who have themselves led at senior levels. We do not believe in generic, off-the-shelf solutions. We believe in deep partnerships that produce lasting behavioural change and tangible business results.

Our mission and values

Our mission is to develop leaders who create positive, lasting impact — for their organisations, their teams and their communities. Everything we do is guided by five core values that shape our culture and our work.

Evidence over opinion

We ground every methodology in peer-reviewed research, validated psychometrics and real-world outcome data. Our facilitators stay current with the latest findings in neuroscience, organisational psychology and behavioural economics so that our clients benefit from approaches that genuinely work.

Courage in conversation

Growth happens at the edge of comfort. We create safe but challenging spaces where leaders can confront blind spots, receive candid feedback and practise difficult conversations. We model the same courage we ask of our participants by being honest about what we observe.

Contextual relevance

No two organisations are identical. We invest significant time understanding each client's industry, culture, strategic priorities and leadership challenges before designing a single slide. This ensures every activity, case study and coaching conversation feels directly applicable.

Sustainable impact

A great workshop that fades from memory within a month is a wasted investment. We design for sustained behaviour change through spaced learning, follow-up coaching, peer accountability structures and measurement frameworks that track progress over six to twelve months.

Inclusive leadership

We believe the best leadership reflects the diversity of the people being led. Our programs explicitly address inclusive decision-making, cultural intelligence and the systemic barriers that prevent talented individuals from reaching their full potential in senior roles.

Meet our leadership team

Our facilitators and coaches bring decades of combined experience as senior executives, organisational psychologists and leadership researchers. They have led teams, managed P&L responsibility and navigated the same complexities they now help others master.
